This is the last post for gen 6, by the end of the post we say goodbye to Thomas, his insanity, his refusal to make commitments, and his not nice attitudes. Reminder Thomas is an asshole by design in accordance with his traits. There is also a gen 7 overlap as set-up for gen 7 choices. Julia quickly settled into the new routines. With their dad, Thomas, almost never home; and her sister always off working the house was always empty and to quite so she would got to the library and stay until curfew. Thomas chaffed at staying in the same job. The only reason he hadn't quit already was because it gave him a place to go daily, and more importantly every week it was a different heist with a different crew. So in a small way it was like working at a new job every week. He knew he didn't have to work, but the idea of staying home and tending the garden was far less appealing than a job he marginally tolerated. His daughters also chaffed at the home situation, but for different reasons. Even though she wasn't flirty by nature, Isabella was finding the attention from boys at school a nice alternative to loneliness. Julia tried to get her sister to see the boys were only using her but Isabella wouldn't hear it. Instead Isabella pointed out that Julia didn't have to be unhappy and stuck at the school where her natural cooking talent was ignored. - But dad said no - He won't care, let alone notice if you switch schools - Yes he would - No he wouldn't, all he cares is not being bothered when he's sleeping and that there's food to eat - That's not true ... - Then put it to the test! Isabella flounced off to fix her makeup. A few days later Thomas graced the breakfast table, when he complimented Julia on her cooking she decided to ask again about culinary school. His emphatic no followed by a tirade on how he'd already told her no and that if she asked again he'd hit her harder than the slap she'd just gotten, left Julia in tears. After calming down, and cleaning her face she got Isabella's help on her homework. Seeing the red mark on Julia's face Isabella shook her head. - Do you get it know, he fathered us but any interest he may have had when we were little, novel, and new has waned. We are on our own. Julia didn't say anything, just closed her finished work and pulled a cooking book from the bookcase. Hearing Thomas's raised voice as he argued with himself drift down the stairs Isabella shook her head and mouthed 'later' and vanished. A few days later faking a bravado she wasn't feeling Julia decided to test the boundaries by staying out past curfew. Being taken home by cops didn't feel good, but the lack of consequence at home, other than her own guilt showed her just how on their own she and Isabella really were for all they lived with their dad. The next day Julia went to the diner and asked to speak to her Grandma Stevie. After a talk behind closed doors, Stevie had a private chat with the person who had been hired as school director. The director handed Julia a list of basics that all students were supposed to know, and told her she'd have to keep her grades up and prove herself to keep her spot at the school. Despite the workload in her backpack Julia left feeling overjoyed, she would make her grandma proud. Thomas never noticed, as Julia was able to get the mail before him. The only thing he noticed was when a new petty thief was trying to make a name for themselves and tried to break into their home. Julia and Isabella made the most of their days and spent the bulk of their time away from the house. If Thomas noticed or cared he never said a word. Thomas's phone rang and he smirked, texted he was on his way. Upon arriving at the arranged meeting spot he greeted a very nervous woman, she was married, he didn't care. Eventually they parted ways after doing nothing more than talking, but he knew she'd message again soon. He was right. They met again at a different spot, when he suggestively invited her over she timidly replied yes. Thomas smiled, he'd had fun, maybe not as much as he wanted this time but next time she wouldn't be as hesitant. Plus he'd already received additional hook-up requests. His phone chimed again, he scowled, it wasn't what he wanted to see but he knew his duty. This time Thomas didn't send out invites to all of the family. He invited Aisha because he had to and hoped she wouldn't show. Staring at the invite list he hoped this would work and that it would lead to Isabella moving out. Isabella took note of all the young men at her transition party. Did her dad want her to sleep with them? Was he selling her? On one hand she felt confused, but on the other she loved all of the compliments she was getting, as well as numbers. Julia said nothing, beyond congratulating her sister, she had a feeling her upcoming transition day would be the same. In the days that followed Isabella's transition Julia kept her head down and focused on her cooking, she wanted to master all known recipes before she graduated. Thomas continued to date married women. As far as he was concerned it was a win-win situation. He got all the sex he wanted with none of the responsibility. He was aware of his bad reputation and didn't care, especially as all the gossip didn't hurt him. If anything he got more date requests because of it. Isabella dipped her toe into the dating scene. She didn't think it odd that the guy she was seeing never invited her to his house. Nor did it strike her as odd that when they got kicked out of city hall for making out in a closet he suggested going to her place. Thomas on the other hand blew a gasket when he realized a married man was using his daughter as a side piece. He wasn't sure why he cared, because as he shoved the tingle of guilt down, it was no different from how he treated women. When Isabella learned she was expecting she weighed her options. She had a good job in business which she didn't plan on leaving. She knew Thomas wouldn't kick her out or lecture her. She also knew that Julia wouldn't care if she stayed on. She also knew that the father of her child had no plans on leaving his wife. He had made that painfully clear by his reaction to her news. Finally late one day she made a hard choice, if she wanted the respect of her coworkers and a chance to fix her reputation she couldn't stay. Julia's transition day went much the same as Isabella's with a few exceptions. Julia called Isabella and invited her, letting her now that their dad was insisting on formal wear for Julia's transition. Julia almost got into a fight with one guest who was hitting on her, when she learned he was married. - Just because Thomas is my father doesn't mean I'll just jump into bed with whomever! Unlike my father I have standards & morals. Now get the fuck out of My home! Julia was glad Thomas didn't refute her claim, after all she was the heir, and he wouldn't live forever. Julia thought she saw another guest wink at her, but when she turned he was gone. Afterwards Isabella stayed and talked with Julia. Thomas even joined them and made partial amends with Isabella. When everyone had left Thomas handed Julia an envelope, as a birthday present he'd bought her a plot of land and commissioned the building of an upscale Bistro on the site. That night as Julia drifted off to sleep she could her Thomas arguing with himself. Julia was surprised when her phone beeped. The number didn't look familiar, but the message was hopeful. - Hi, I was at your transition party. I am single unlike the other guy. I would have stayed later but I work at a receiving home in exchange for bed & board. I'd like to get to know you, does lunch sound good? Julia stared at the screen for several minutes, his picture looked vaguely familiar. Was he the guy who had winked? Taking a deep breath she decided to take a chance. - Lunch sounds good. Meet me at the new Bistro. Watching him walk up Julia realized it was the guy who had winked. They stood around and talked a little bit before finally going in for a late lunch. By the end of lunch Julia felt as if she'd met her soulmate. Taking a deep breath Julia asked Cole if he'd like to come over to her house and hang out. Cole checked his phone before answering. He explained he just needed to make sure that someone would cover his duties. He'd already explained how he had grown up bouncing between foster homes and had had his final transition at the receiving home. She for warned him that her dad was insane, it wasn't hereditary or at least she hadn't inherited his insanity, but she had no idea of how he would act around Cole. On the way home she received a text from Isabella. "Delivered baby, boy, named him Ellis. Everything went well." Once home, Julia was relieved when her dad made himself scarce. As she and Cole talked late into the night, the evening took a turn towards romance. The more she learned about Cole the more she realized that she never wanted to say goodbye. Opening a drawer she pulled out Stevie & Shannon's bands that she had inherited on her Grandma Stevie's death. - I know this is sudden, that maybe we are rushing things ... Julia knelt - Cole will you marry me. Julia and Cole had a private ceremony that evening. They also agreed that they wanted to hold off on making a baby. They were about to head upstairs when Cole's phone chimed. It was the director of the receiving home letting Cole know that his bed was needed. After a brief whispered discussion Julia took the phone from Cole. - Hi I'm Julia Verde, Cole and I just got married. We have space here in our home and are more than willing to take in a child. Julia, felt as if it was serendipitous that the child dropped off was named Kyle. As they ate breakfast with Kyle they learned that he had siblings who were also waiting to be placed. Julia made a call. After an extensive conversation, she got the social worker to agree to bring over Kyle's siblings and start the adoption paper work. It felt weird, here she had planned on waiting to have children, yet she knew that these children needed a forever home. She hoped that she would be better at parenting than her dad was. Yes an instant family would be work but she and Cole would have no problems. After all he didn't have to work if he didn't want to and she was free to set her own hours since she owned the Bistro she worked at. By the end of the day Kyle's siblings; Andie, Janice, and Trisha; had been dropped off along with the legal documents making Julia and Cole the guardians of the small family. Julia had had a few nervous moments when the social worker met her dad. When Thomas told her to take his room and agreed to let her make over the kitchen and dining room. Julia felt a moment of surprise. The following morning Cole woke before her, nudged her and pointed at a small statue on their dresser. Julia read the note pinned by the statue while Cole went to care for the little ones. - I may not have been the best dad, but I figure you'll need the bed space when Andie transitions. I wish you and Cole the best. Thomas

(Reminder Thomas is an ass on purpose as part of both his insanity and commitment issues.) Even though Isabella was old enough to use the stove, Julia still did all the cooking for their family. Thomas tried to sit and eat with the girls once in awhile, but he knew in his heart that parenting just wasn't his thing. So more often than naught he made himself scarce even if he didn't have work. He didn't give much thought to what the girls were up to, so long as the cops or school officials weren't calling him at all hours because of them he just wasn't worried about it. For the most part the girls were content just hanging out at home. Julia was obsessed with the cooking channel. If not at home or work Thomas was out working out. He jogged everywhere, chaffing at the smallness of their island home, or he would go to the gym and work out. Working out constantly helped Thomas on two fronts, he was less likely to argue with himself if he was keeping busy. The other area that working out helped Thomas with was sexual frustration, sometimes locking himself in the bathroom just wasn't enough, he missed the softness of holding another body against his. When he was at the gym he was starting to notice some of the women watching him, despite his bad reputation. Isabella wanted a job even though she knew she didn't have to work, so she took a job at the school. The only draw back in her opinion was not always having enough time to get her school work done. Julia mostly stayed glued to the cooking channel, but every once in a while at Isabella's insistence that she should get out, Julia would sometimes wander off to the fishing hole or the library. On the rare occasion that Thomas graced his daughters with his presence, they would tell him what they had been up to. Julia would quickly run off to watch her favorite shows. Isabella though would try to talk to him about being around more in the role of a parent. Those talks never went well and Thomas would vanish up to his room or out for a jog. One day as Thomas was waking up his phone chimed at him. Checking the screen he saw the reminder for Julia's transition day. Grumbling Thomas made the arrangements for her transition party. The party started out well enough. Julia was thrilled to see her mom. When it came time to blow out the candles on the cake Julia got upset because she had to wait while Isabella went off to find their dad. Julia finally got to blow out her candle, but didn't fully understand why her dad and cousin, who had just barely graduated from school, looked rumpled, or why Isabella was so mad at their dad. During the party Julia learned from Grandma Stevie that the diner offered a culinary training program for interested high school students. When Julia asked her dad, Thomas, if she could go he told her no, and that the regular school was good enough. Crestfallen Julia went to bed early, and was lucky enough to miss the scene their Aunt Lucie made when she dragged their mutual cousin back out of Thomas's room with a hiss, that she really didn't want to ruin her reputation with the likes of him. Thomas felt something inside snap, he hadn't gone out of his way to seduce the girl, and he didn't see it as his fault if she found him and his bad boy reputation and look attractive. He spent the rest of his evening behind closed doors practicing kissing and flirting techniques, he planned on making the most of any future opportunities. He wasn't going to hunt them out, he could let them come to him. With Lyndsey gone, Thomas learns quickly that he'd best step up his parenting or he'll lose his girls to child services. He also learns that as a single parent with two in diapers he'd best grab whatever food he can whenever he can. After a quick check on the girls, Thomas takes a moment for himself before calling the sitter. He doesn't really need the job, but he likes getting out of the house. A bonus is that he's starting to make some good connections with some of the crime families from the mainland. Thomas slowly learns how to develop a routine. The whenever he feels himself slipping, he locks himself in a bathroom so the girls don't witness him arguing with himself. Thomas spends his afternoons working out and at the library. Then one day, he gets a message from one of his connections, the bosses found a spot they like for a main office. The sign reads imports/exports but Thomas knows what the real scoop is. Knowing how much of a thrill he gets from lifting items, he quits his job at the police station and goes to work for the mafia, where his skills are appreciated and no one cares that he's insane. When the new sitter who seems a bit snooty coment's on the fact that Isabella doesn't talk much for her age Thomas checks the parent guide on his phone and also call's his mom, Stevie, for advice. Armed with information Thomas sits with Isabella and helps her build her vocabulary. Thomas realizes that Julia's transition day has snuck up on him. So per his arrangement he makes the necessary call and throws a party for Julia inviting her mom, Lyndsey, as well as his family. As with Isabella he leaves the honor of bringing Julia to the cake to her mom. Given how frosty Lyndsey is with him, he knows he made the right move. What surprises him is when his great Aunt Mu treats him with respect and compliments him on throwing a good transition day party. Thomas realizes to late that buying matching outfits for his girls might not have been one of his better choices. That blunder aside he quickly learns the new routine with his girls. Just as Thomas thought he had everything down, his phone beeped a reminder that it was time for Isabella to have another transition. Sighing heavily, Thomas made the obligatory call. A random cousin shows up with the rest of the party, Thomas finds her hot. Fortunately Aunt Mu picking a fight with his half-sister Lacie over how to cook fish chills his ardor before he makes an ass of himself at his daughters transition party. Isabella is shy when her mom, Aisha, goes to pick her up so this time Thomas gets to do the cake honors. Aisha is not happy with Thomas for putting Isabella in the bathroom for her transition. Neither is Isabella for that matter. The day after Isabella's transition, she pester Thomas as he's trying to care for Julia. Thomas is quick to point out that she's old enough to travel around town on her own. HE gives her a few basic rules and then sends her on her way. Isabella is more than happy to hang at the fishing spot and play with other kids while her dad focuses on her baby sister. Looking in the fridge for dinner Thomas realizes that the only leftovers is cake. Knowing he'll be in hot water with his mom if he doesn't have something besides cake available for his girls Thomas attempts to make a simple pot of mac 'n cheese. Staring at the results he's tempted to toss it, but it's marginally edible so he puts the leftovers away. Due to work hours, Thomas tends to let Isabella get away with far more than a parent who's present and has a better grasp on reality or sanity would allow. He doesn't try to debate food choices with her, as he is still burning more food than he'd like. He doesn't understand how his mom made cooking look so effortless and easy. Thomas somehow managed to mess up the party invites for Julia's transition day and no one showed up. So he and the girls had a quite evening to themselves. Julia comments on how much she loves the cake dad got for her transition, and Isabella cautions her to make it last because their dad can't cook for a hill o' beans. After sitting and talking for a few hours both girls turn in for the night. As they lay in darkness, Julia asks Isabella if their dad is always this distracted with other stuff and Isabella says that Thomas, their dad, does seem to love and care for them, but really is more absent even when present than other parents. At least that's her impression from other kids at school. The upside Isabella commented is that they're pretty much free to do what they want so long as they keep the grades up. Isabella says she let her grades slip once and Thomas almost grounded her for it, because the school called him while he was sleeping. Julia discovers the kids can bake stove that Stevie had gotten, and quickly learns how to use it to make breakfast muffins. Thomas and Isabella compliment Julia on her excellent muffins. They both ask her to make as many muffins as she wants. Tired Thomas heads for sleep, as the girls head off for school. Thomas really likes the new schedule better, it allows him much more than 4 hours of sleep a day. Everyone who'd been invited for Julia's transition day showed up the next evening so the family makes the most of the belated party. Which in turn means he stops making stupid mistakes during heists and no longer gets picked up almost daily by patrol officers. He also knows that the only two reasons why he hasn't been fired is it's his name on the property deed, and he never ratted anyone out while in custody. Thomas stare at the reminders on his phone and wonders where time has gone. It's a double transition day. He's entering his middle years and Isabella will transition to her teen years. He does his best to keep everyone only focused on Isabella's transition. Before he heads off to work for the night. He's not sure that he's eager to have one let alone two in the house. Happily for Thomas he's got a few more days yet before he has to learn what it's like living with two teenage girls. With Polly-Anna out of the house Thomas decides it's time to make his move. When Aisha try's to get Thomas to answer her question about further commitment, he spins it to a question about his day. Frustrated she leaves for work unsure of what Thomas's intentions are for her. Thomas isn't taking his day very seriously, he putters around the garden harvesting plants, then grabs some cold leftovers from the fridge. Seriously why bother cooking with so much ready to eat food in there. Thomas was on his way to tidy up the papers, but spotting Aisha home from work, he decided to go for a jog instead. Spotting the library he decides to pop in and check it out. He spots a book on great chess masters in the reference section and decides to stay and read, trying to remember what time Aisha usually goes to sleep. As far as he's concerned they were just having fun, he's not into long term relationships. Maybe it was a bad idea to ask her to move in. Once he's done with the book he wanders around chatting up the other female patrons. They're all hotties in his book. He quickly learns that they're all married too. Except the last one but he bugs out when she announces she's pregnant. Aisha is a sleep when he gets home, and doesn't wake up. Thomas happily slides into his bed thinking he'll give the girl with braids that was a class below him a call in a day or two. She must almost be old enough by now. She was way more fun than Aisha, with her questions about marriage. Aisha is about to head off for work when she gets a call from the doctors office. She doesn't have the flu, she's pregnant. She wanders downstairs and finds Thomas in the back study. When she announces her news he congratulates her, then asks who the lucky dad is and when is she moving out with the baby. Aisha finally understands that Thomas really isn't 'all there'. Pissed she tells him he's the father and then asks him if he intends to marry her or not. The ensuing fight was not pretty, lots of harsh words and adult language on both sides. The end result, Aisha and Thomas are no longer a couple, and once the baby is born Aisha is out of there to restart her life, but not as a single parent. That can be Thomas's job! Aisha is emphatic. Noting the level of ire in Aisha's face and body language Thomas finally got a clue and acquiesced. Thomas also decided that the library would be a good place to hide while Aisha cooled down from her hormone driven murderous rage. Aisha hides in the house, outside of her doctor she really doesn't want the world to know she f'd up and had unprotected woohoo. Thomas, being male, naturally shows no signs of the consequences, and happily takes all calls for dates that come his way. Not all dates end well. He finally remembers that he wanted to call the cute girl with braids. He invites her out to the diner, he owns it so they can eat for free. When she shows up he's disappointed to see she's still not old enough for a proper date. After diner they talk for a bit, and he invites her over to the house confident that Aisha will already be asleep. They dance for a little and then she spontaneously hugs him. Thomas's thoughts of future dates go out the window when the girl mentions prom, boyfriend, and marriage. He may be insane, and he may not be into commitments, but he's still got half a shred of good in him; so he wishes her well and sends her home. Aisha has decided that Stevie's cookies are the most perfect pregnancy food ever! (No one has cooked since Stevie & Shanon moved out.) While things have mellowed between Thomas and Aisha, but Thomas has decided that it's in his best interest to avoid her. His dedication to avoiding her leads him to sign up to work at the police station even though he doesn't need the money are care for law enforcement. Afterwards he swings by the community garden for some produce to sell to the market. At the market he meets a gorgeous brunette by the name of Lyndsey. As they talk things take a heated and heavy flirtatious direction and it's almost morning by the time Thomas heads home. Thomas is snoring loudly in a deep sleep and doesn't hear when Aisha yells for him. Alone, pissed, and hurt Aisha gives birth after several hours of intense labor. Because Thomas had bolted every time she entered a room she never got his input on baby names, so she names the little girl Isabella. Aisha tucks Isabella into the crib, kisses her on her forehead whispering "see you for your birthday's kiddo". She then goes down to the kitchen to call for her cab. The front door shutting doesn't wake Thomas, but the unfamiliar baby cries do. Thomas is tired & hungry when he wakes up, hearing the car horn honk he calls the sitter service. He at least has grasped that he can't just leave a baby home alone. The sitter arrives and Tomas bolts for work. At work he doesn't even give the baby a second thought, that big mirror in the conference room though is another story. Heading out the door he hears a few mumbles about the mirror being missing. Thomas nonchalantly waves at the desk clerk and then jogs home. He just arrives home when his phone rings, relieved it's not work he note's that it's Lyndsey. He tells her he can't go out for a date because he's tired. He waves goodbye to the sitter as he talks to Lyndsey. He's just finished paying bills and sending the mirror back to the station by route of a restoration company when Lyndsey shows up. When she learns that he has to stay in because of his daughter she gushes that he is the sweetest thing. Thomas decides he doesn't care if she's got the wrong idea about why he's a single dad, not with the way she's kissing him and then asking him if would like to do more than kiss. She's overly flirty and a hopeless romantic, if her boyfriend isn't enough for her who is he (Thomas) to complain if she wants to tumble with him. Thomas is confident Isabella is fine, so when Lyndsey asks him if he wants to tumble a second time he enthusiastically shows her how much fun he thinks their tumbling is. It's very early morning when Thomas hears Isabella crying, grudgingly he leaves the soft embrace of his latest conquest. Thomas tends to his daughters needs before grabbing a snack from the fridge and then sliding back into bed with Lyndsey. Lyndsey wakes before Thomas and works out for a little bit before wandering downstairs in search of food. As Lyndsey is digging in the fridge she gets a sudden craving for cookies. Spotting a batch of cookies at the back she grabs them for her breakfast. A little later when she starts to feel unwell she mail orders a few test kits. Thomas unaware that Lyndsey is still around, hires the sitter again to come care for Isabella. Thomas is surprised to see Lyndsey when he comes home from work. Thinking that maybe she wants to tumble more he is thrown off when she announces that she's pregnant. Thomas is mad and tries to blame her for not taking precautions. He also makes it clear that she best not be planning on trying to get him snagged into any shotgun weddings, because he wasn't having any of that either. In the end after several minutes of shouting, name calling, and swearing, Lyndsey agrees to the same terms he had with Aisha. She can stay until the baby is born, he will raise the baby, and she will be invited to all of the baby's transition day parties. Thomas sees it as a win because he can get free babysitting from Lyndsey while she's there. While Lyndsey stays in the house and watches Isabella, Thomas agrees to meet up with his boss Winter. They talk for a bit and then head over to the diner. When Winter hints that she'd like to have woohoo with Thomas, he for once thinks of the possible consequences, and sites the work place rules regarding fraternization between the ranks as he declines. Winter tells him he won't get a second shot, despite how hard he feels himself becoming at the thought of tumbling his boss he manages to stick to his resolve, but only barely. Once back home he locks himself in the bathroom and runs the water. Then to give credence to his lie, when Lyndsey asks him why he's taking so long, he tosses some bubbles into the water and soaks for several hours. Lyndsey quickly learns that her body and pregnancy are not friends with each other. She is forever craving sweets, but no matter what she eats it all comes back up shortly after being eaten. Her doula is glad that Lyndsey was plush to start with as it gives a small amount of cushion for the weight being lost as the baby robs from Lyndsey's fat stores. Thomas is happy when it's time for Isabella to transition. He informs a very unhappy Lyndsey that he's having a party with his family and he doesn't care if she joins or not. Most of the guests don't comment about Aisha not living with Thomas or the fact that he's got a very preggo woman living in his house. Aisha is quick to asses the situation and warns Lyndsey that Thomas is not likely to an 11th hour proposal no matter how hot he thinks Lyndsey is. Once the women have their chat, Aisha turns her attention to her daughters birthday and insists on bringing her down to the cake. Stevie is sad to see that her first grandchild does not have the family read hair or lavender eyes. Lyndsey and Thomas end up having a mini fight in front of everyone over baby names. Stevie smiles and hands Lyndsey a list of possible names with a smile, before leaving with Shanon. As Aisha is saying goodbye to Isabella she tells Lyndsey that her timing was off, and now she was stuck naming the baby after one of Stevie's favorite chef's instead of being able to name the baby something she wanted. A miserable Lyndsey downs a pint of chocolate fudge swirl, wishing she had spaghetti to go with it. Thomas snuggles Isabella and then gets her started on her potty training, he then takes off for the library. Lyndsey notes that Isabella is content with her baby books so wanders off to read a book too. Noting that it's gotten late Lyndsey gives Isabella a bottle and then tucks her into bed. She then try's her hand at cooking mac & cheese. It burnt so bad that the smell caused Lyndsey to puke, in the end she just throws out the whole pot because of how badly it's burnt. She was about to grab something from the fridge when Thomas came home. Thomas apologizes for the earlier fight and tells Lyndsey to name the baby whatever she wants. For half a second Lyndsey thinks he's going to do more but he yawns and says good night. Shaking her head she reminds herself that Aisha had it right, Thomas had no intentions of marrying her. He'd raise the baby he fathered, but beyond that he wasn't owning up to anything. Before and after work Thomas tends to all of Isabella's needs and makes sure she has access to the baby books that she likes while he's at work. He even hires a cleaning company to come clean during the day. Lyndsey finds the isolation a bit much, but she still hasn't told her boyfriend why she hasn't been available for awhile. Being the hopeless romantic that she is she's hoping he will forgive her and take her back once she's had Thomas's baby. It's late at night when a very uncomfortable Lyndsey waddles to the bathroom mistaking the pressure in her nether regions as a need to use the toilet. Once her water breaks she realizes her mistake. After a long lonely and agonizing delivery she gives birth to a little girl whom she names Julia. Lyndsey tucks Julia into her crib and calls for a cab to come get her. Even though she'll be back for transition days, Lyndsey is more than happy to be leaving and going back to her family. Yes, Thomas is written as an ass on purpose. Yes I've met men like him in rl, unlike them though Thomas has learned his lesson. In game Aisha had one of the smoothest sim pregnancies I've ever seen, while poor Lyndsey had one of the worst I've ever seen in game, poor girl. I've got almost 500 more pics, they will await a different day. :) Thanks to game mechanics I had to use tce + cas to change Isabella & Julia's last names to Verde, so while in I sneaked a peak at their YA stage. The heir is decided, no - one will be getting their hair dyed ;) , and I trust readers can spot what the deciding factor was. ;)
Thomas quickly learned that being in charge wasn't everything he thought it would be. He invited Aisha over, and then got mad at her for thinking they were on a date just because he flirted a little when he greeted her. When he made it clear he wasn't going to ask her to marry him she left in a huff, and said she'd had more fun watching paint dry. Thomas didn't care, he headed over to the gym. The nice thing about owning the gym was he could work out whenever he wanted. Polly-Anna had one fight with him because he didn't rush out and get a job right away. He was quick to point out that being an author wasn't exactly a regular job. He knew he got to her because she was hitting the keys hard as she typed. Peak fitness, given he'd been working out since his primary days it didn't shock him. Maybe he'd take it further. This time the talk with Aisha went better. Yes they were still dating, but he didn't plan on settling down anytime soon if ever. Aisha was willing to live with that and agreed to move in. It beat living at home with her parents. Thomas was more than happy to let Aisha take over garden duty. Needing a break from refining her typing skills Polly-Anna accepted a call to go on a date from one of their old classmates. She was surprised to learn he hadn't transitioned yet, and polity informed him that it would be best if they were only friends for now. Then after he had transitioned if he was still interested, then they could talk about dating. Back at the house Aisha declined Thomas's invite to play chess. Pointing out that if she was going to be a ceo eventually she would need good speaking skills. Thomas mumbled what sounded like an affirmative and refocused on the chess board. Arriving home from the busted date Polly-Anna refocused on her typing. Several hours later as her twins snores drifted down the stairs she closed the laptop. She had finally mastered the writing program, and would have no problems with future manuscripts for publishing. Or so she hoped. Happily, for Polly-Anna, city hall kept clerks on duty 24 hours a day. She was able to make two changes with one stop. First she commissioned a library from Dragon Construction. The new library like all buildings in town had two unisex bathrooms, There was a computer center, a children's reading & learning area, regular reading area complete with a reference section, and a small multi-purpose conference room that could be used for both adult programs and children's programs. Then she arranged to move to the other small house which surprisingly was still on the market. Polly-Anna didn't mind that her brother would be the one profiting from the library, because she was confident that her books would sell very well. After all her first book published as a teen was netting her over $500 a week in royalties, and her paintings also fetched good sums. She was also more than happy to get out now before things blew up between Aisha and Thomas, Polly-Anna wasn't sure how bad things would get but she was certain that Aisha didn't plan on staying single forever, and she was also confident that Thomas had no plans on putting a ring on Aisha's finger. So getting out now was a good thing. Generation 6 Roll
Marital Status: Single Parent The single parent must raise all required children on his/her own, which means a spouse/partner isn't allowed to live in the same household as the single parent and the children. The single parent may romance as much as they like, but moving in a partner to help raise those kids is what's forbidden. Your single parent Sim may marry or have a live in partner before the first child is born or adopted, but that spouse/partner must be moved out of the household within 24 hours after the first child is born or adopted. After the first child is born, male single Sims may move in the mothers of subsequent biological children for the pregnancy only. The mother must leave the household within 24 hours after the baby is born. Single males may also use other methods, including mods or cheats, of adding their babies to the household without ever moving the mother in at all. The restriction on moving in the single parent's partner is removed once their youngest child has reached the mid point of the teen age stage (7 days for the unaltered normal lifespan; if you've tweaked the teen stage, it's whatever the halfway point is for your custom stage). After the youngest has reached the mid point of the teen stage, your single Sim may then move in or marry one partner, if you so desire (this obviously isn't required). The partner can be anyone. Number of Children: 2 Children Your generation is only allowed to have 2 children. Note that exceeding this number by having accidental twins or triplets is fine, but you must not have any more children after that. Primary Career: Criminal (Thief) Generational Goal: Perfectionist Choose a skill for your Sim to be perfect at. Your Sim must max this skill, and also complete all skill challenges related to this skill (found in the Skill Journal of your Sim's Skill Panel), except in cases where the skill challenge requires your Sim to make money to complete the challenge. Exceptions example: in the instruments skill challenge, Money Maker requires your Sim to earn 25k in tips and cannot be completed unless your Sim rolled Busker, and the writing skill, which requires you to earn royalties and therefore cannot be completed unless your Sim rolled writer as a career, and in the mixology skill's Master Mixologist challenge, which requires your Sim to earn money moonlighting at bars, and cannot be completed unless your Sim has rolled Mixologist as a career. Another exception in the Mixology skill challenge is for Professor of Drinks, which can't be completed unless you have every type of bar in your neighborhood (learning all the drinks requires all the bars be available to learn their unique drinks.) So, if the town you are playing in does not have every type of bar in place, you are exempted from completing Professor of Drinks. There may be other skill challenges that we have not noticed which cannot be completed because they require skill based income, or something that's unfair to expect every town to have, etc. If you find one, please report it in the MTS thread; those challenges will be specifically exempted as well. Miscellaneous Fun: Live Your Trait Choose one of your heir's 5 traits to live by. The heir, starting at YA age, will have to do something every day that reflects this trait, and must fulfill any wishes that come up that are related to this trait, up to 5 wishes a day. If your heir rolls more than 5 trait related wishes in a day, you only have to do 5, though you can certainly do more. (Except for wishes related to the trait that would require you to break the income restriction rules). It's not required to complete the wishes on the same day they are rolled, but try to complete them as soon as you can. Not every trait will be suitable for this rule, so you must be sure when choosing traits for your heir that you pick one that can be used for this rule. It must be a trait that allows you to actively do something every day for this trait and gives you wishes you can fulfill. For example: artistic, athletic, virtuoso, neurotic, good, evil etc are good, but clumsy, loner, can't stand art, lucky, unlucky, etc. are not good. Your heir can have these traits, but you must have one trait with related activities and wishes to choose as your dominant trait. Gen 1: * Set family funds to $0. * Killed off Kylie's parents of old age. * Added Rufus to the family to move him to a different lot in town. Gen 2: * Had Natasha eat 3 life fruit to extend her age. * Used tce true to trigger Natasha's age transition from adult to elder and then to death. Gen 5: * Took the 3 possible heirs into cas, for YA headshots. Gen 7: tce + cas to change the last names of both girls to Verde when they became toddlers. Also snuck a peak at their YA stage to see if heir was going to be obvious or if a poll would be needed. Gen 8: Saying goodbye to Julia. And changing out the mailbox & trash can on the new home lot. Tce family funds to 0, shipwrecked = another broke start after camp set up. ;) Lastly tce add to family, while game was paused to add three households in addition to the Verde's to the island. Goofs! Oops! Oh Crap! * This applies to gen one but I didn't catch it until gen 3. I was supposed to have $140,000 and Buy the science building. I haven't decided how I'm going to handle this ... but I think I know what I'll be doing. :( Random Legacy Progress Past Generations
