Microsoft updating windows 10 and adding some features that hubby & I most likely will never use, because we are not a company doing business, nor are we office workers who have to write regular reports, is adding to the challenge of keeping the save going. I'm hoping to keep the save going until Hank & Vincent reach their young adult transition. If I can't I'll be rebooting the household on a different world. Week 3 was a relatively steady week. Euan stayed home with twins Hank & Vincent, while the older children went to the fishing hole, and Patience got to go collecting. Patience new it would be awhile before they could replace the bathroom fixtures, so she worked to improve them. Euan was doing well at work, and continued work on painting in his spare time. His paintings have finally started to earn a small amount of income that covers the cost of the supplies and allows him to save for the house. The triplets frequently work together after school on their assignments. Which helps boost their friendship & social. Euan will sometimes hit the dumpsters after work before heading home, in the hopes of finding something good. Diane likes the frisbee Euan found. Before long it's Hank and Vincent's turn to transition. Patience is glad they had enough for cakes and loaner tables. She talks to Fern about her, Fern's, newest pregnancy. Late that evening Patience and Euan, who reached adult stage that evening, talked about how they wanted more children, but their budget was tight to start with. They agreed that if their finances allowed later they would consider another child. Post age up house changes. A few roof adjustments to cover the new rooms. Another small 3x4 bedroom, a small 2x3 room which will become a second full bath. The old staircase was demolished and a new double wide staircase was installed with room enough for a half bath under it. The first floor is now primarily an open floor plan. With winter coming, they invest in a small indoor garden bed which will hold 5 plants. Euan finally gets to plant the seeds he's been saving. With all of the kids at school Patience finds herself channeling her nurturing trait in a new direction. After school tries his hand at bug collecting. At school they had learned about different careers, he decided he wants to be a zoologist. Even though there's not much snow on the ground, winter still means that collectibles are getting harder to find. Euan continues to focus on painting, while the children do homework. Liza was at a friends house. Patience divides her time between making repairs, upgrading appliances, tending the garden, and finding what few collectibles as can be found. Liza, Diane, and Basil's transition day rolls around at the end of the week, and both parents apologize for not being able to get cakes this time. They wanted to get the upstairs finished along with the final touch for the downstairs, in terms of space layout. The kids take it in stride, and admit that they are happy having a quite family celebration for a change. Basil rolled the vegetarian trait which fits with his goal of caring for animals. Liza had a 'B' in school, which while good doesn't allow for trait selection, she ended up with the Diva trait, which seems very fitting. Diane rolled the ambitious trait which fits her nicely. Saturday after a chat with their folks they teens head out to get part time jobs. They will get to use their earnings on their rooms, or contribute to the house if they want. All three want to learn how to drive so their first joint purchase might be a bucket^^ car. Once home from signing up for part time employment, the teens, at their parents insistence, take the university entrance exams for the fields they're interested in. Euan and Patience make it clear that university isn't required, and there might not be money for uni, but they should know what their options are. Liza is the only triplet who is already eligible to skip a few courses. Liza knows she wants to go into entertainment, but not which area. Diane wants to go into sports, and is really excited about the new stadium and fitness center. Basil is unsure if he wants to become a scientist or open a pet shop. ^^ Bucket car's are vehicles that generally don't run and have to be reassembled. As Patience quietly celebrates her transition to full adulthood, she happily reflects on what they've completed for the house so far. Houses interior layout is done, with one possible half wall I'm considering for downstairs. The old master bedroom got shrunk, and is now Hank's bedroom. Euan & Patience now have a master suite above the old nursery. Both the second full bath and half bath have fixtures, even if the master bath doesn't yet. They used fancy fencing to create a simple indoor garden zone. From here it's about polishing up the house, and getting furniture. For exterior the goals are fencing off the whole yard to cut down on wild animal traffic, light decorative garden, take care of the porches and finish the exterior foundation wall. The family will work on relationships, one of the best ways will be morning mealtime as a family. Back ground story progression: The Stones, older (Fern & Sark), are now up to 7 or 8 children altogether, as Fern popped out at least one more baby during week 3. Felisha moved in with her older brother at the Danilova house. Siobhen became a YA and moved out. Tara married a coworker, and he took her last name.
