Paranormal it turns out is even easier to lift as a base game option than the other methods. From post 1: My additions are in red.
My additional changes are in purple.
Move in day, first priority for Ms. Silver was to learn 1 point of charisma. From there everything was pretty much easy peasy. Once that skill point was gained it was off to the park. The only sims she's allowed to interact with are teens, young adults, and adults. It takes roughly two to three days to meet 25 sims for the skill challenge boost. Once the boost is available she starts working on making friends. Could have easily waited until she was full adult before taking the job at the mausoleum. It's only metric for promotion is mood, go in a good mood and use the work hard modifier and a sim can top level 3 in three weeks or less. Playing chess or darts with other sims does boost the friendship metric, but not as well as playing hopscotch. Between fixing the toilet, talking with other sims, and jogging to de stress while writing the three level 3 skills happen quickly and naturally. Reaching level 10 of logic as well as writing 3 best sellers (or hits) took the longest, but still had almost 1 full week before elder once completed. Given how easy everything else was, my number one tip would be after meeting 25 sims, just hole up for the remainder of the first sim week and focus on writing and logic. The other tip would be to wait until about the end of week two to go get the pt job.

Ulp! Yes, I'm nervous I haven't spent as much time reviewing this one as architecture. I will double test this one as well with one sim off to college and one sim without college. Current Rules for a base game lift:
Mausoleum Clerk Career Levels 1) Burial Specialist It's a step up from digging ditches, but... well, no, it's pretty much just digging ditches. 2) Overseer of the Dead Guarding the Mausoleum gates might sound easy, but sorting the living from the dead can be hard work! 3) Epitaph Writer Writing Epitaphs maybe [sic] depressing, but at least you get to use your creativity. Let er' RIP!From sim wiki Fortune Teller - Mystic Track Master of Mysticism

The original TS2 requirements to max out the occult career track Cult Leader: cooking 0, mechanical/handiness 2, charisma 10, body/athletics 2, logic 9, painting 7, friends 17. Not really to much to adjust or tweak to make it harder. Don't get to excited not much is not the same as nothing changed. ;) The main adjustment for If starting out in an empty world you will need to make sure that there are a minimum of 10 ghost sims in the town unless you place a filled cemetery from another town. As it is to help the town's deceased population along and not cause game mechanic issues down the road your town set up will need to include one let designated as a cemetery with a mausoleum on it. When working at the mausoleum, even if another sim is working there you have no coworkers from the game mechanics. My additions are in red.
If you're looking for the easiest way to lift the clear and have supernatural, make sure there is a fortune tellers trailer in your town and follow the mystic career track. Or just complete the ambitions ghost hunter profession. Neither require much in the way of skill beyond alchemy or logic.
If you're looking for a zero skill required lift and have showtime take the magician profession. It is feasible to have a magician lift paranormal without ever leaving the home lot, and doing nothing more than spend 8 to 10 sim hours per day practicing the magic tricks. |
