Baylee shrugged her shoulders at her mom. Baylee understood Estevan's reluctance to join them at the table, but how could she get her mom to understand that they didn't even know if they were more than friends and that mom's constant questions and hints were driving them nuts. Estevan eventually joined them at the table, and Baylee decided his legs must have been getting tired, because he didn't say a word the whole meal. After Estevan excused himself for the remainder of the evening, Baylee decided that she'd better have a serious heart to heart with her mom. Once again she promised her mom that she would let her know if there was any change in their relationship. In return she, no they, needed a promise in exchange from Kaylynn. They needed Kaylynn to give them some time and space to work things out for themselves ... Alone! Kaylynn, stared at her daughter for a few moments, before letting out a deep sigh, and admitting that maybe she was not giving them the space they needed. She agreed to try to back off and let them get their life together which ever way it was going, but it was hard, and she missed seeing Baylee every day. After her mom left Baylee sold her latest painting. The following morning they moved the camp beds to the second room as guest beds, as the movers set up the nicer double bed Baylee had ordered. As they sat and read the newly acquired skill books, Estevan asked Baylee if she thought her mom would respect the request for space. After all this was the second time Baylee had asked her mom to back off. Baylee admitted that she wasn't sure. She hoped so, her mom had seemed intent on trying to honor the request. Estevan admitted that as an orphan, bouncing from one care facility having an adult care enough to constantly be in their business was not something he was used to. The following days went by quietly for the two young people as they focused on their individual goals. As well as growing their friendship stronger and deeper. Baylee paid the bills and then remebered that she still needed to send in the money for the utility restoration. By the end of the third day without unexpected visits or phone calls from Baylee's mom Estevan relaxed enough to confess his true feelings for Baylee. That night they took their relationship to a new level. Baylee had just started on a new painting when Estevan suddenly blurted out that there was geek festival going on and that they needed to go. Baylee wasn't sure about the festival at first, but as the afternoon wore on she got into it and found herself loving all of the cos players that showed up. Then she heard someone make refrence to a special club. When she asked Estevan about it he blushed a little before admitting it was a real club. Deciding to take life by the horns they snuck a couple of suits and into one of the rockets. Baylee knew her feet on earth, but she was pretty sure that she and Estevan were both still floating high from their adventure. When Baylee spotted a Leia cos player, she knew she needed to introduce herself. After a brief chat Baylee asked what she really wanted to know, and happily recieved a yes. Baylee was just about to show her picture to Estevan, when a text came through from her calendar app "Don't Forget Mom's B-day Party!" Yipes she blurted and grabbed Estevan. Kaylynn's birthday party was a good one. Baylee was surprised to see that her mom had hired a caterer. Being back home and seeing her mom transition from adult to elder, brought home for both Baylee and Estevan just how fleeting life can be. As promised Baylee managed to get a quite word in with her mom. Kaylynn just nodded and said she thought she recognized the glow of young love. Baylee blushed. Towards the end of the evening Estevan whispered to Baylee, that he thought he understood her mom a little better. Then before Baylee could suggest that it might be a bad idea he pulled her in for a gentle kiss. Once they got home he made no bones about where his thoughts were. Before they fell asleep they agreed that they were dating. They started their day off with the normal routine, pausing long enough to text Kaylynn a couples picture. Then the stove caught fire and Baylee had the scare of her life, which left her feeling very mortal. As well as grateful that Estevan had had the presence of mind to grab the fire estinguisher. After their meal, and she had cleaned up Baylee decided that the only course of action left was to profess her undying love and ask Estevan to marry her. He said yes. The following day was feast day to celebrate the fall harvest. They invited Kaylynn over, but the meal didn't go as planned, for the stove caught fire again. Baylee was trying to decide what they should do for their grandfeast when Estevan shot her a picture of a venue with the note "It's available this afternoon." While she wasn't sure she had wanted a venue this soon, no time seemed better than that day. Especially when she saw that it was booked out 4 years in advance. With a twinkle in her eye Baylee grabbed her mom by the hand and said "come on lets go grab your formal wear". Baylee was thrilled that everyone on their guest list was able to attend their last minute celebration. A few last minute nerves were settled, vows were exchanged, and everyone oo'd an ahh'd when the fireworks went off. Like most good parties, almost everyone ended up in the kitchen. Baylee and Estevan, who is now Mr Stewart, made sure to thank everyone for coming to their wedding. Baylee may have snuck in a brief nap, and the newly weds might have snuck off to the observatory to jump start their married life. Estevan wasn't sure how he felt when Baylee painted him working and then sold the painting to a museum. He grumbled less when Baylee pointed out how much her paintings were selling for. He admitted that having the money for renovations was more important, and it had been his backside, and had really gotten that much. While he value of the anger painting was higher than anything she'd painted to date Baylee decided to keep it. Although she'd kept her most valuble painting to date, Baylee was thrilled to realize that they had enough money to renovate the exterior. Not that she hadn't liked the cabin exterior, but they didn't want the hoa fining them or chasing them out of the neighborhood. With the additional windows, and some of the wiring fixed EsteBaylee noticed that the extra lighting made the place seem less grungy, and decided that it hadn't really been grungy just underlit. After her sixth trip to pee, Baylee decided that it was time to let Estevan in on her suspision and invite her mom over to break the big news. Kaylynn was thrilled by the news and asked Baylee if she was sure there was only one simlet in her belly.
Baylee smiled, and admitted she didn't know. She'd told her doctor that she wanted everything to be a surprise, so long as she and the little one were healthy she wasn't going to worry.

CategoriesRules With Notes
All rules in bold are Simmer SamelaRita's original rules, anything in red italic are my notes for adjustments for the s4 mechanics. What’s a renovacy? It’s a renovation-legacy. The aim is to renovate the dilapidated living quarters your sims have found themselves in. Before the youngest child becomes an adult. The rules are simple. The renovating rules. For people who like scoring things, you can score the rooms: add up the points on the furniture for environment, energy, comfort, fun and stress relief. Hunger, bladder and hygiene don’t count. A total of 10 gives you a level 1 room, 20 a level 2 and so on. Garden area: if there are plants here that you want to get rid of, you can sell them, but you can only spend the money on fences or walls or other plants. The goal for the garden is to have it fenced and gated (to keep the children safe). You can score a garden like the rooms though, by adding things to it. Building rules. Creating a family rules. |
